Viewing All Cakes

1. Visit the homepage at custommadecake.com.au
2. You'll see our featured cakes displayed in a grid layout
3. Scroll down to see more cakes
4. Each cake card shows:
   • A beautiful photo of the cake
   • The cake name
   • Starting price
   • Number of likes and comments

Filtering by Category

1. Look for the category buttons at the top of the page
2. Click on any category to filter cakes:
   • All Cakes - Shows everything
   • Wedding Cakes - Elegant designs for your special day
   • Birthday Cakes - Fun and festive designs
   • Custom Cakes - Unique creations
   • Cupcakes - Individual treats
3. The page will instantly update to show only cakes in that category
4. Click "All Cakes" to see the full collection again

Sorting Cakes

1. Find the "Sort by" dropdown menu near the category filters
2. Choose how you want to sort:
   • Most Liked - See customer favorites first
   • Most Commented - Popular cakes with lots of feedback
   • Newest - Our latest creations
   • Oldest - Classic designs
3. The cakes will automatically rearrange based on your selection

Searching for Cakes

1. Look for the search box at the top of the page
2. Type keywords like "chocolate", "roses", or "unicorn"
3. Press Enter or click the search icon
4. Results will show cakes matching your search terms
5. Clear the search to return to browsing all cakes

💡 Tip: Hover your mouse over any cake card to see a subtle animation and get a preview of the cake details.

Opening a Cake Page

1. Click on any cake card from the main page
2. You'll be taken to the detailed cake page
3. This page shows everything you need to know about the cake

Viewing Photos and Videos

1. Main Image: The large photo at the top shows the cake
2. Thumbnail Gallery: Below the main image, you'll see smaller thumbnails
   • Click any thumbnail to view it in the main display
   • Swipe left/right on mobile to browse photos
3. Zoom Feature: Click the main image to zoom in for details
4. Videos: If available, video thumbnails will appear in the gallery
   • Click to play the video
   • Videos show the cake from different angles

Understanding Cake Information

Each cake page includes:

• Cake Name: The title of the design
• Reference Code: A unique code (e.g., "WED-001") for easy ordering
• Description: Details about the design and inspiration
• Starting Price: Base price for the smallest size
• Available Options: Sizes, flavors, fillings, and add-ons
• Ingredients: What goes into making the cake
• Allergen Information: Important for dietary restrictions

Build Your Cake Button

1. Look for the prominent "Build Your Cake" button
2. Click it to start customizing this cake design
3. You'll be taken to the Order Builder with this cake pre-selected
4. All the cake's options will be ready for you to customize

Sharing Cakes

Found a cake you love? Share it with others:

1. Scroll to the social sharing section
2. Choose your preferred sharing method:
   • Facebook: Share directly to your timeline
   • WhatsApp: Send to friends and family
   • Instagram: Get instructions for sharing
   • Copy Link: Copy the URL to share anywhere
3. A confirmation message will appear when the link is copied

Liking a Cake

1. On any cake detail page, find the heart icon
2. Click the heart to like the cake
3. The heart will fill with color and the like count increases
4. Your like is saved in your browser - you can only like each cake once
5. Click the heart again to unlike (if you change your mind)

💡 Note: Likes help us understand which designs are most popular and help other customers discover favorites!

Reading Comments

1. Scroll down to the comments section on any cake page
2. You'll see comments from other customers
3. Each comment shows:
   • Commenter's name
   • Date and time posted
   • Comment text
   • Any attached reference images

Leaving a Comment

1. Scroll to the comment form at the bottom of the cake page
2. Fill in the required fields:
   • Name: Your first name or nickname
   • Email: Your email (optional, not displayed publicly)
   • Comment: Your thoughts, questions, or feedback
3. Optional: Attach a reference image
   • Click "Choose File" or "Attach Image"
   • Select a photo from your device
   • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
   • Maximum file size: 5MB
   • Preview appears before submitting
4. Click "Post Comment"
5. You'll see a success message when your comment is posted

⚠️ Rate Limit: To prevent spam, you can post up to 3 comments per hour. If you need to post more, please wait or contact us directly.

Comment Guidelines

• Be respectful and constructive
• Share your genuine experience or questions
• Attach reference images if you want something similar
• Comments are moderated - inappropriate content will be removed
• Your email is never shared publicly

Accessing the Order Builder

There are two ways to start building your order:

1. From a Cake Page: Click "Build Your Cake" button (pre-fills that design)
2. From the Menu: Click "Order Builder" in the navigation menu (start from scratch)

Understanding the Interface

The Order Builder has three main sections:

• Left Side: Configuration options (tiers, flavors, add-ons)
• Right Side: Live price calculator showing your total
• Bottom: Special instructions and reference image upload

Step 1: Choose Number of Tiers

1. Decide how many tiers (layers) you want: 1, 2, 3, or 4
2. Click the "Add Tier" button to add more layers
3. Click the "Remove Tier" button to reduce layers
4. Each tier can be customized independently

💡 Tip: Multi-tier cakes are perfect for weddings and large celebrations. Single-tier cakes work great for birthdays and smaller events.

• Edible Prints ($12 each): Custom images printed on edible paper
  • Perfect for photos or logos
  • Select quantity needed
• Edible Flowers ($10 per quantity): Beautiful, delicate decorations
  • Add elegance to any design
  • Choose how many you want
• Cake Topper ($30): Custom topper for the top of your cake
  • Personalized with names or messages
  • Various styles available

💡 Tip: Use the quantity selector to add multiple edible prints or flowers. The price updates automatically!

Step 4: Add Special Instructions

1. Scroll to the "Special Instructions" section
2. Type any specific requests or details:
   • Color preferences
   • Text for the cake (names, messages)
   • Specific design elements
   • Delivery date and time
   • Any dietary requirements
3. Optional: Attach a reference image
   • Click "Attach Reference Image"
   • Upload a photo showing what you want
   • This helps us understand your vision

Step 5: Review Your Price

The price calculator on the right shows:

• Tier Breakdown: Cost of each tier individually
• Add-ons Total: Cost of all extras
• Grand Total: Your complete order price

Ready to Order?

1. Review your complete configuration one last time
2. Make sure all details are correct
3. Check the total price
4. Click the "Place Order" button at the bottom

Contact Options Modal

After clicking "Place Order", a modal window appears with three contact options:

Business Hours

The modal also displays our business hours:

• Check when we're available to respond
• Orders submitted outside business hours will be responded to when we open
• For urgent orders, calling during business hours is recommended

⏰ Response Time: We typically respond to SMS and WhatsApp messages within 1-2 hours during business hours. Phone calls are answered immediately when we're open.

Important Information to Include

When contacting us, please provide:

• Your Name: Full name for the order
• Contact Number: Best number to reach you
• Delivery Date: When you need the cake
• Delivery Time: Preferred time window
• Delivery Method: Pickup or delivery
• Delivery Address: If delivery is needed
• Event Type: Wedding, birthday, etc. (helps us understand the occasion)

Order Confirmation

1. Immediate: You'll receive a confirmation that your message was sent
2. Within 1-2 hours: We'll respond to confirm we received your order
3. We'll discuss:
   • Final design details
   • Delivery arrangements
   • Payment options
   • Any questions you have

Design Consultation

For custom designs, we may:

• Ask for additional reference images
• Suggest design modifications based on feasibility
• Provide sketches or mockups for approval
• Discuss color options and decorations
• Confirm all text and personalization details

Payment

Payment details will be discussed when we confirm your order:

• We accept various payment methods
• Deposit may be required for large orders
• Final payment is typically due on delivery/pickup
• We'll provide clear payment instructions

Order Updates

We'll keep you informed throughout the process:

• Order Confirmed: Your order is in our system
• In Progress: We're creating your cake
• Ready for Pickup/Delivery: Your cake is complete
• Delivered: Your cake has been delivered

Delivery or Pickup

Cancellations and Changes

• Contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes
• Minor changes can usually be accommodated
• Major changes may require additional time or cost
• Cancellation policy will be explained when you order
• We understand that plans change - just let us know!
